Thank goodness the good weather has
finally arrived!
The TAKaya Golf Centre has some great things happening and I hope everyone
will come to experience them.
Our Mini-Putt Golf Course will be opening very shortly, so we should
be fully operational by at least July 25th. It will be fun for
everyone (not just the kids) and is a great way to enjoy an outdoor activity
for not a lot of money.
The practise chipping green and practise bunker are now available for
everyone to use. Please note that there will be no
charge to use these. It has been sadly missed in the past and we
are very excited to have this as part of our facility.
At first, I was sceptical as it is made of artificial turf but after having
chipped on it, I am very pleased with how much the ball reacts the same as
regular grass. The good part is that it will always be in great condition,
year round.
The practise putting green is well on it’s way and should be finished by the
end of July.
TAKaya is a beautiful relaxed place and one of the benefits is how the sun
co-operates with us by being in the perfect place at the perfect time. We
have sunshine in the morning when it’s cool and in the afternoon, it is at
our back and a lovely cool breeze blows through. Gorgeous flowers surround
the place and you can’t find a better place to come to for getting your game
tuned up. We see more and more people just hanging out relaxing as it is
such a great place to be.
Playing lessons at Northlands continue to be popular. I am able to
combine the 4 and dine special at Northlands to observe players in action.
Shortly thereafter, special instruction is based on the observation. A
comprehensive written report follows the game. Tips are given throughout the
game and this type of lesson can be arranged for up to 4 people. The cost is
very reasonable and the benefits are great. Please call for more details.
Group Lessons start again in August and continue every Thursday
evening 6:30 to 7:30 starting on August 7th. These have proven very popular
with not only beginning golfers but also those wishing to review all the
components of their game.
I am now officially offering supervised Birthday Parties. Children
will receive instruction as a group as well as individual attention on the
driving range. They can also include the mini-putt and we can provide pizza
and soft drinks for a fun filled day. This is an activity the kids really
enjoy. We appreciate having a few parents to help supervise the children.

It’s time to start to think about getting away to a warm place in the
winter. Why not join me in Palm Springs at the end of January for 3
days filled with instruction and playing with a small group at the Doral
Desert Princess. People who have attended this seminar have been delighted
with the results from attending and have marvelled at how much fun they have
had while working on their game in the sun. Please call for more details.
If you want to “tune-up” your game or learn about how to take it to the
“next level”, please call. There are many lesson options and can be
tailor-made to suit your needs.
If you golf in a group, it is possible to arrange to learn about managing
your game, strategies on and off the course to improve your game and how you
can use golf to your advantage in business. Call me for more information.
If you would like to do something worthwhile for your clients and/or
co-workers, how about joining them in a golf clinic for an hour or two. This
has proven to be an extremely worthwhile activity where you can spend
productive time in a learning environment where relationships are built and
people really get to know each other. What better way to build your
business!!!
